The State Liberals are calling on Premier Jay Weatherill to answer four simple questions regarding the employment of Michael Deegan as the Chief Executive Officer of the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure.
Has Mr Weatherill spoken to Mr Deegan personally about the corruption allegations raised by Royal Commissioner Heydon?
Prior to the release of the Final Report of the Heydon Royal Commission into Trade Union Governance and Corruption, was Mr Weatherill aware that Mr Deegan had been called to appear before the Royal Commission?
Prior to personally appointing Mr Deegan as the head of DPTI, was Mr Weatherill aware of Mr Deegan’s involvement with the NSW branch of the CFMEU?
Was Mr Deegan’s experience dealing with unions a factor in Mr Weatherill appointing him as the Chief Executive of DPTI?
